With only 26 days to launch, my upcoming novel Disengagement is (FINALLY) available for pre-order via my publisher, Kasva Press, and their new distributor, Casemate IPM!
The search for a new distributor has caused a little chaos and explains why it’s taken so long to get the book up for pre-order. But for you, my dear readers, it’s all good news: you only have 26 days to wait, and thanks to our new distribution clout, you’re more likely to find Disengagement in actual bookstores.
Kasva is offering a special pre-order discount, so snag it while it lasts!
One might think that choosing a super cheesy pun for my publication date would help people remember when the book is coming out.
Apparently not:

Not sure where March 23rd came from, but it appears that the distributor got the month and date mixed up, and…. I don’t even know what to tell you about Google Books’s date. I guess it’s me and good ol’ T. S. Eliot?
I’ve added pre-order links to the book page in my library, and yes, yes, don’t worry, I will let you know when it’s finally up on Amazon.
As for the rerelease of Letters to Josep, there’s good news and bad news. The bad news is that the extra lead time required by the distributor means that it probably won’t be coming out until late 2020 at earliest, more likely early 2021. The good news is that working with them also means harder deadlines, so when Kasva Press does finally commit to a new publication date, they’ll actually mean it this time. (Right, Don? RIGHT?!) Third time’s the charm?
Lastly, MB Publishing and narrator Lori Felipe-Barkin are making good progress on the production of the audiobook of By Light of Hidden Candles, despite a few delays and obstacles. I just submitted my comments on the latest batch, which brings us up to chapter 29. I don’t know exactly where we stand in terms of scheduling, but I think it’s pretty likely that it’ll be ready in March as planned, and if not, very shortly thereafter. And let me tell you–Lori’s performance is AMAZING and I am getting such a kick out of listening to her bring my characters to life.
Those are the highlights for now; stay tuned for more updates!
Shabbat shalom!
