Hello lovely people! Just wanted to let you know that I’ll be appearing at the launch of the 26th issue of arc, literary journal of the Israel Association of Writers in English, this coming Tuesday, May 21st, 7pm at the Abraham Hostel in downtown Jerusalem.
I’ll be reading the two poems of mine that appear in the issue as well as a little taste from my upcoming novel, Disengagement.
Early last year I participated in the launch event for the previous issue of arc, where I read part of Scarf Sisters. You can watch a snippet from that reading here.
In other news, if you’ve been keeping track, you may have noticed that it’s already nearing the end of May and the second edition of Letters to Josep still hasn’t been released! Unfortunately there have been some additional delays, and it may be another couple months. But trust me, it’s worth the wait. Every time I get frustrated with how long this is taking, I get back to Don’s edits and I remember why I decided to republish this book with Kasva. The new edition will be clearer and funnier and better-rounded in terms of the information it presents–not to mention more aesthetically pleasing thanks to Yael’s typesetting and graphic design touch. So bear with me!
It also appears that the publication of Disengagement may be delayed, probably until early 2020. In the case of Disengagement we should have a solid release date about 5-6 months ahead of time, so I’ll keep you posted.
That’s all for now!
