The Rejection Survival Guide is a blog for writers, artists, and other creatives about staying resilient in the face of rejection.
Everyone knows that rejection and failure are part and parcel of striving for success and for greatness. But there’s a reason people are afraid of rejection: it hurts. A lot. And so many people give up because they haven’t been prepared to cope effectively with the pain and doubt and fear that rejection can bring.
As someone who’s been trying to get her work published since she was a teenager, I have experienced a great deal of rejection. Yet somehow, I never gave up. In this blog, I explore what “creative resilience” is and how it can be developed and nurtured, making it possible for writers, artists, and creatives to keep doing what they love and keep trying to share their work even in the face of rejection.
